dcrps Conference 2024 | March 7th and 8th, 2024

[2022] The international industry get-together for DC railway energy supply
With around 450 participants and strong international participation, the first dcrps took place successfully in January 2020. Right from the start it was the largest conference of its kind. There was then no doubt that the conference would be repeated and organized in future in alternation with the acrps, the sister event for AC railways, which has been held every two years since 2003.
Direct current railways have been used in various systems worldwide for more than a hundred years. They have played a crucial role since the introduction of electric traction. These include long-distance trains, S-Bahn and U-Bahn trains as well as trams and trolleybuses. The desire to also use electric traction in buses or for road-bound goods transport results in new applications for components of the DC railway power supply and interfaces between the power supplies of the various systems. dcrps offers the opportunity to accompany this development.
The aim of the conference is not only to impart knowledge, but also to build and maintain networks. Users, developers, suppliers, certifiers and decision-makers meet. The wide range of subjects offers everyone a look beyond the box of daily business. Sometimes there are solutions to challenges that have not been seen or considered before. The railway industry has the opportunity to report on new products. Users about first experiences. The focus is also on experiences in other countries.
Over 95% of the participants at dcrps 2020 rated the content and organization of the conference as "good" and "very good". The dcrps 2022 will build on this.
The conference program had to be put together this time from an oversupply of lecture topics. The program is intended to take into account the diversity of the DC railway energy supply.
