www.dcrps.org dcrps – The international industry event for DC rail power supply. With around 450 participants each and strong international participation, the first international dcrps conferences for DC rail power supply took place successfully in 2020 and 2022. They were the largest conferences in their field. The third dcrps on 14/15 March 2024 is therefore the logical consequence. DC railways have been used in different systems around the world for more than hundred years. They have played a crucial role since the introduction of electric traction. These include longdistance trains, light rail systems and metros, as well as trams and trolleybuses. The desire to use electrical traction for buses or for road-bound freight transport has resulted in new applications for components of the DC rail power supply and interfaces in the power supply of the various systems. The dcrps conference offers the opportunity to accompany this development. The aim of the conference is primarily to impart knowledge. Building and maintaining networks is just as important. Users, developers, suppliers, inspectors, certifiers and decision-makers will coming together. The wide range of subjects offers everyone a view beyond the boundaries of day-to-day business. Sometimes solutions for challenges emerge that have not been seen or considered before. The railway industry has the opportunity to report on new products, users on first experiences. The focus is also on experiences in other countries. Over 95% of the participants in the dcrps conferences before rated the content and organization of the conference as “good” and “very good”. The dcrps will build on this in 2024. The conference program had to be compiled from an oversupply of presentation proposals. The program is intended to take into account the diversity of the DC rail power supply. In order to ensure that as many of the submitted presentations as possible were taken into account, there will be no panel discussion in 2024.
